Calldetenes

The municipality of Calldetenes, 5,80 km², is situated two kilometres from Vic and it is the third-least populated town of Osona. The town is situated 489 metres high. The land is flat and it is not quite high, other then the hills- which are typical from La plana. The hills are formed by grey-blue “sides”, known as “Vic sides” or “died stone” because they are not so compacted. The “sides”, which are sculpted by the rain, give a relief with crevices. The Sant Marc hill is an example of this. Its height of 580 metres makes it a good viewpoint of Plana de Vic.
