Balenyà
The town of Hostalets was set in an strategic site, at the top of the old Pujolric climb, later known as Sant Antoni climb. Due to the sanctuary and the hospital of Sant Antoni, which was a contact point between the towns of Seva and Centelles. Cart drivers or carriers who went from Barcelona or Vallès to Vic, after the great climb, needed to rest a little and drink something and this is the reason why one or two little guesthouses (hostals in Catalan) were built in this place at the beginning of the XVI century or before and it is how the name “Hostalets” appeared in the papers.
