The l’Esquerda archaeological site was declared the Catalans’ Favourite Monument in 2019. It stands out for its 2,500 years of occupancy, for its strategic position on a peninsula surrounded by the Ter River, with a unique landscape, and for the fact that it’s a living settlement where scientific work is constantly being carried out.
