Roda de Ter

Roda de Ter is situated in the northern part, close to river Ter. It is 2’23 km2, in 1805 its territory was divided and Masies de Roda split from it. Since prehistoric times, people occupied tis area because of the river ter. It is said that the town gained its personality and its richness as a result of the river. In the municipality the poet, prose writer and translater Miquel Martí Pol was born in 19th March 1929. He was one of the most popular and read contemporary poets. Due to social, civical and national engagement of his work it has been considered “the poet of the village” . The literary route of Miquel Martí i Pol recalls and pays tribute to his life career in the village.
