Viewpoints, Traditions and Authentic Flavours in rural Catalonia
Lluçanès is a peaceful high plateau in the western part of Osona, Catalonia — a hidden land of viewpoints, traditions, and local delights.
Start your journey in Sant Bartomeu del Grau, where the Roc Llarg Viewpoint offers breathtaking sights over the Vic plain. Don’t miss the “Art i Mur” route, a collection of murals across the village reflecting the surrounding nature and rural life.
Continue to Perafita and take in the views of the Cadí-Moixeró and Pedraforca mountains from the Ponent Viewpoint. Then, head to the Munts Viewpoint, where the Pre-Pyrenees unfold before your eyes.
Further north, explore Alpens, a village with deep roots in the art of blacksmithing. Walk among iron sculptures in its streets, part of the Art i Mur circuit celebrating this traditional craft.
In Lluçà, visit the Monastery of Santa Maria, one of Catalonia’s most iconic Romanesque sites.
In Prats de Lluçanès, the murals of the Art i Mur route reveal the area’s rich textile and muleteer heritage.
Food lovers are in for a treat: Lluçanès is known for its artisan bread, dairy products, and truffles. Follow one of the three food routes to learn how these high-quality products are made — from farm to table.
If you’re into legends, stop by Olost to visit the Perot Rocaguinarda Centre, dedicated to Catalonia’s most famous outlaw. Looking for a fun and educational game? Try the Triescape in Sant Bartomeu del Grau, an interactive escape route exploring local history and rural revolts.
During the summer, don’t miss the local festivals and celebrations, where Lluçanès bursts into life with music, dance, and tradition.
If you’re travelling by motorhome, you’ll find camper areas in Prats de Lluçanès and Sant Boi de Lluçanès, along with a range of rural accommodations throughout the region.
